SUMMER DAY TWO

FATHER'S DAY

Father's day at our house:

The women lounge with a cold drink in their hands.

The kids swim in the pool.

And the men cook all day.

Sound odd? Not at our place.

In fact it is tradition, and it is how we like it!

This year the menu included Grouper and Clams

along with hots and hamburgers for the kids.

MOLLY IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES

Molly switched from softball to baseball this year.

She played soccer when she was little, then softball for three years.

This is her first year in the Major Leagues with all the boys.

She is the only girl on her team and

one of three girls in the entire league.

She blends in well with the boys because she is tough!

Molly is also a natural cheerleader, so this year she has

brought morale way up for the Loden Lane Bombers!! Go Bombers!

Molly is a strong hitter and the video below shows her

hitting a 2 RBI double.

TIM IN THE MINOR LEAGUES

This is Tim's 4th year playing town recreation baseball.

It is his first year playing Minor League and he loves it.

He makes an excellent catcher and even has his own equipment.

But this year he has shown his skills as a pitcher as well.

Other times, Tim is playing first base and short stop.

Tim is a very serious ball player and when not on the field throwing the ball around, he is in the back yard or even in the living room tossing into a glove.

JACK IN THE MINOR LEAGUES

Jack plays baseball in the Minor League this year.

While sometimes he is reluctant to play, he is an excellent ball player.

His coach this year was a pitcher in college

and enjoys teaching Jack techniques.

He pitches every game, plays catcher, first base and short stop.

Every now and again they put him in the out field.

Jack and his twin brother Timothy make a great pair on the field.

Frequently one will pitch and the other one catches.

We love to watch them play.
