Some kids are naturally athletic. I was always in awe of these kind of kids. Now I am blessed to have four of them! Each of my children play multiple sports which impresses the heck out of me.
I am happy to foster this activity by buying the necessary equipment and driving them to and from practices and games.
That being said, I'm not sure how thrilled I am with this "new sport" Tim is perfecting every afternoon while waiting to leave for football practice.
And I am certainly wondering why the boy doesn't have a helmet on or mouth guard in!
Such a slacker mom! Ugh.
Still, I am impressed by his skills...

Bahston (aka Boston) Whale Watch
A trip to Boston combine Boston College orientation and a family vacation. Here Jack, Molly, Robbie, Tim, and Betsy waiting for the catamaran to take them on a whale watch.
A beautiful day to be on the water and enjoy Boston Harbor.
Jack, Chris and Timmy enjoy the boat ride out to where the whales are.
Molly was feeling a little motion sickness.
Thar she blows!
We saw dozens of whales on this trip! It was an adventure our family will always remember.

Not Just A Pretty Face!
Molly is an athlete! She made the school volleyball team in the fall, played CYO basketball all winter and modified softball in the spring. She also plays town baseball with the boys. This is one of her favorite activities! She loves the sport and the guys on the team. She spends a lot of time primping and preparing for every game; washing her hair and braiding it so it doesn't get in the way and well, just to look good too! And honestly she looks great! but....
more importantly she plays great, too!

Cheese and Bologna
When she was two, she proudly displayed her curly hair...
When she was two, her brother adored her, not just annoyed her...

First Day of Summer!
A very slow, lazy start to summer! But hey, at least the kids are dressed...
So I sent them outside to swim, and this is how they spend their time...

Milk...It DOESN'T do a body good!
Robert has a life threatening food allergy to milk and milk products and has had a number of reactions in the past 18 years. We don't let this stop us from camping twice a year! However, every time we go camping we try very hard to prepare for any situation that might involve accidental ingestion of milk, or exposure to milk, which may result in a trip to the hospital. Unfortunately it is common for him to have a reaction while camping. These reactions tend to happen because there is always plenty of food that isn't "safe" due to the fact that we camp with so many friends. Rob has had to be treated at Hospitals in Montour Falls and also in Bath, New York a number of times, and while we won't name names (Karen), we know that accidents happen.
When we arrived at our cabin this year in Watkins Glen, we were surprised to find that they provided supplies they haven't in past years, like sheets, blankets and pillows. The cabin also had hand soap by the sink.
Yes, that says "Milk Protein" and yes it really does have milk as an ingredient. Rest assured, Robbie didn't need to get his mouth washed out with soap, that would have been Molly (OMG I am kidding Lynne). Nor did Rob even use this to wash his hands, just to be safe.
However, this trip I decided to take the kids on a new adventure and found a great place to go called "Farm Sanctuary". Robbie thoroughly enjoyed it and SURVIVED without incident
